Well, the Titanic 2012 Reading Challenge is officially over! I don’t know about you but I had a complete blast! My goal was to read or watch six Titanic related books/movies and I did complete that goal (while not really in the aspect I had assumed).
- Titanic the Long Night
- Hearts that Survive
- Movie: Titanic (1997)
- Movie: Titanic (1996 – TV)
- Movie: Britannic (2000)
- Titanic Exhibit
This has been an eye opening experience that has rejuvenated my love of all things Titanic. There was one book I didn’t get around to rereading (“Murder on the Titanic”) so I would like to eventually reread it this summer. It’s a fantastic murder mystery book so if you’re looking for a great unsung read, I’d definitely recommend it.
Also, while doing some “wikipedia research” I came across this information: ”The White Star Line was a highly prominent British shipping company, today most famous for its ill-fated vessel, the RMS Titanic, and the World War I loss of Titanic‘s sister ship Britannic. In 1934 the line merged with its chief rival, Cunard Line, which operated as a separate entity until 2005 and is now part of Carnival Corporation & PLC.” Guess who is going on a Carnival cruise this summer? 100 years after the sinking of the Titanic. Awesome.
Anyway, I wasn’t a very good Challenge host because after the first point I forgot to do the checkpoints (whoops). So, here it is – the final checkpoint/wrap up! I invite you all to post your links of anything Titanic related! Thank you all for participating and I hope you enjoyed the Titanic 2012 Reading Challenge!

Interesting tidbit Miss Remmers! After all the reading I have done about the Titanic over the years, I hadn’t come across the merger! Enjoy your cruise!
