Home sick with a Saturday Snapshot

Last night I was feeling a bit under the weather after reading “The Taker” by Alma Katsu. My throat was a bit scratchy so I went to Starbucks (I hate coffee and the overall corporation, but I do like the atmosphere) and discovered that I enjoy the Caramel Apple Spice/Cider. That soothed my throat and I was able to get my word count written.

This morning when I woke up, my throat was still scratchy. I even had Button sing me “Soft Kitty” (really, how many BFFs would do that?). When that didn’t work I resigned to go the Walk In Clinic to make sure I didn’t have strep. While there I began reading “Of Poseidon” by Anna Banks. Twenty minutes later, no strep. Just a cold. Thankfully. The doctor, seeing that I was reading, said that the best thing I could do today would be to snuggle in with a good book. And that’s exactly what I did (as part of my Saturday Snapshot – first ever):

This is what I call the life. Plus, Dan made me chicken noodle soup and we rented The Hulk, Iron Man 2, and Thor (in preparation for our Avengers date this week).
